The Girl's Night Out meet on a regular basis. They have also organised a program of walks in the local area, which is open to all. Their 2018 Walks program is:- 5 June. Whitwell .... 12 June. Tickencote / 4.5 miles 2 hours 19 June. Barrowden/Waverley Woods / 7.5 miles 3 hours 26 June. Normanton / 5.5 miles 2 hours 3 July. Hambleton Penninsula / 3.75 miles 1.5 hours 10 July. Exton/Fort Henry. / 5.5 miles 2 hours 17 July. Village walk / 3.5 miles 1.5 hours 24 July. Uppingham, Eyebrook & Lyddington / 6 miles 2.5 hours Distances are approx .... in the case of Normanton, Hambleton and Exton there are opportunities to cut short the distances given. Time taken to do walks is an estimate, there may be ice cream breaks in some ! Starting time 2pm from the White Horse. Where transport will be required to start the walk from elsewhere, this should not be a problem as many have offered help. This hopefully is a starting point for those wishing to walk (and talk of course). Trust you'll give it a go and after a couple of months we can get together and review the situation.
